Pass Plus

Pass Plus is aimed at newly qualified young drivers. It is a training course but it doesn't include a test at the end. Your driving instructor will be continually assessing you to ensure that you complete the course to the required standard.

The course was designed by the Driving Standards Agency in conjunction with driving instructors and insurance companies. The aim is to build upon your current skills and knowledge.

Pass Plus comprises six hours worth of driving tuition which will include driving:

• in town
• in different weather conditions
• on country roads
• in the dark
• on dual carriageways and motorways

Pass Plus should be undertaken within the first year of passing your test. It is recommended because it gives the extra experience needed at a time when newly qualified drivers are most likely to have an accident.
